I would say it’s primarily my background and my personality. I’ve been fortunate to work in the healthcare field, in both clinical and management roles, and these experiences have taught me one essential lesson: behind every situation, there is a person, a story, and a family. As a director and clinical coordinator—notably in a department at Pierre-Boucher Hospital—I developed my leadership skills, my organizational abilities, and my decision-making skills, but above all, my ability to support people during times that can be difficult or filled with uncertainty. Today, as a housing counselor, I want to put this experience to work for seniors and their loved ones. I like to take the time to listen, to truly understand their needs, and to find a solution that fits the individual—not just one solution among many.

She’s someone who knows how to be there without being intrusive, who listens before speaking, and who understands that choosing a living environment can be a major change for a person and their family. For me, it’s important to be able to put people at ease, answer their questions honestly, and support them at their own pace. I’m a big believer in a human-centered approach: sometimes people don’t need an immediate answer; first, they need to feel that they’re being listened to and understood. My experience in the healthcare field helps me understand the realities that older adults may face, as well as the concerns of their loved ones. I want to be the person who simplifies the process, who reassures them, and who helps the family feel less alone in making this decision.

It’s about so much more than just finding a place to live. It’s about supporting a person through a new chapter in their life and helping a family make an important decision with greater peace of mind. It’s about being there when emotions run high, when there are many questions, and sometimes when loved ones simply don’t know where to start. I see Visavie as a bridge between a person’s needs and the various options available to them. It’s a way to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, while drawing on my experience in the healthcare field, my analytical skills, and, above all, my deeply human side.

I believe it’s my ability to build trust. I’m someone who cares about people and places great importance on the quality of the relationships I develop. I’m also very organized, persistent, and committed to whatever I undertake. My management experience has taught me to be thorough and to find solutions, even when situations are complex. But beyond my professional skills, I believe my greatest strength is my authenticity. I don’t just want to “advise” a family. I want to take the time to understand their story, their concerns, and their priorities so that I can provide personalized support.
