Here are a few tips that don&#8217;t claim to slow the progression of Parkinson&#8217;s disease, but simply to help you sleep better. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\" id=\"p-rc_6d99170e1b681309-31\">Get plenty of sun, or at least light, during the day.  <span class=\"citation-159\"><\/span><span class=\"citation-159 citation-160 citation-end-160\">Exposure to bright light during the day helps our bodies to differentiate between day and night, and better respond to the need to sleep when it&#8217;s dark. If you feel tired during the day, try to limit your nap to less than 40 minutes. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\" id=\"p-rc_6d99170e1b681309-34\">Forget your pet  <span class=\"citation-154\"><\/span><span class=\"citation-154 citation-155 citation-end-155\">Cats and dogs love to sleep close to their owners. Unfortunately, they also like to take up more than their share of the bed, and they make a lot of noise. In the end, your pet distracts you more than you think, which has a negative impact on your night&#8217;s sleep.
