Margaret Keenan is making history today by becoming the first person to be vaccinated against the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 7:30 a.m., under the admiring gaze of the hospital staff, Margaret Keenan, a 90-year-old elder from Northern Ireland, became the first Western person to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
“I feel so privileged to be the first person to be vaccinated against Covid-19, this is the best anticipated birthday present I could have hoped for,” the elder tells us as photographers flash.
“This means that I can finally consider spending time with my family and friends in the New Year, after being alone for much of the year,” she adds.
Margaret Keenan advises anyone who can get vaccinated. “If I can do it at 90, you can do it too! “.
The vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech is part of the mass vaccination campaign launched by the United Kingdom. This is a giant leap that has been made today in the fight against the Coronavirus, and the elderly, indeed more at risk than the rest of the population, will be deeply relieved.
